    Crescent moon jewelry was all the rage during the Victorian era and this brooch is a fine example. This piece has been hand-crafted in silver topped 10 karat gold, encrusted with 23 shimmering rose diamonds and 11 cushion-cut rubies. Graduated, chunky rose cut diamonds make up the outer border of the crescent, beautifully cradling the inner border raspberry colored rubies.

    Something that makes this piece a little extra special in my mind is the symbolism behind the combination of rubies and diamonds. It's a true representation of the givers feelings - the rubies represent passion and the diamonds, consistency.

    Diamonds: approximately 2 carats, nicely match H-I color range, SI1 - I1 range in clarity
    Measurements: 1 1/8" by 1 1/8"
    Weight: 6.9 grams
    Condition: The pin stem has been replaced and is 14 karat gold, normal surface wear, minor wear and minor chipping to the girdle of a few rose cuts, natural patina on the surface of the setting, which is normal for antique jewelry and part of its unique appearance and character.

    I ship most items via USPS Priority Mail which is the quickest and safest shipping method that the Postal Service provides. I do reserve the right to ship higher priced items via UPS/Fed Ex as deemed necessary. This is solely to ensure the safety of the item being shipped. Any items being shipped outside of the US will be shipped via Priority Express International to insure a trackable delivery.

    Import Duties

    The purchaser is responsible to pay all customs fees associated with the item being shipped. Please consult your local post office for more information regarding specific fees/tariffs to expect when receiving your item. If a package is not retrieved because of refusal to pay customs charges, NO refunds will be granted without exceptions. All items will be shipped and declared with the full value stated.
